Local Business to be Featured on Food Network

Mt. Ivy Cafe in Pomona is the second episode of Restaurant Stakeout. Watch it Wednesday, March 21 at 10 p.m.

 

Last week, Bardonia’s  was featured on the Food Network's new show Restaurant Stakeout. This week's episode is with Mt. Ivy Cafe in Pomona. 

Hosting Restaurant Stakeout is Willie Degel, who runs a tight ship at his restaurants, according to FoodNetwork.com.

In the show, he’ll apply his secret by using cameras to canvass every inch of the restaurant in order to keep a close eye on the floor, staff and patrons.

"I was asked by a custumer to see (if I) was interested," said Owner Lucia Ivezaj of being picked for the show. "The filming started on Jan 18."

After several days of filming, Mt. Ivy Cafe can finally see the final product this Wednesday. 

"When you look at the upcoming show Willie (Degel) does, (it) state(s) that they put cameras all over to keep an eye on the crew," she said. "It was very interesting and I enjoyed meeting all the nice people associated with the show."

Mt. Ivy is also one of the establishments in Rockland County participating in the Hudson Valley Restaurant Week

"I have the best staff ever. They are caring, attentive, courteous, respectful," said Ivezaj. "The show was fun and Willie gave me some good advice. Hopefully we will get some new custumers."

Tune into the Food Network Wednesday, March 21 at 10 p.m. for Mt. Ivy Cafe's episode.
