Man, 32, Fatally Struck by Tree Limb

The victim was identified as Celso Tebalan-Pixcar.

Editor's Note: The following report was provided by the Town of Ramapo Police Department. 

At approximately 8:54 a.m. on Sept. 22, 2012 the Ramapo Police responded to 24 Madison Hill Road in the Village of Airmont for a report of worker hit in the head by a tree. Upon arrival, Officers determined that the man was fatally struck in the head by a large branch (approximately 25 ft. long). The 32-year-old man was identified as Celso Tebalan-Pixcar.

At this time it does not appear that the man was working for a licensed tree service. The Ramapo Police Department notified The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). This incident is currently under investigation by the Ramapo Police Detective Bureau.
