Meet Rockland County's newest Eagle Scouts

Troop 29 and Troop 10 had recent Court of Honor ceremonies.

From the Rockland County Executive’s Office:

Congratulations to Clarkstown resident Christopher Cortese of Boy Scouts of America Troop #29 and North Rockland resident Bailey Fiscus of Boy Scouts of America Troop #10 on achieving BSA’s highest rank, a distinction earned by only 4 percent of all Boy Scouts nationwide.

Rockland County Executive Ed Day presented Christopher with an Award of Excellence on behalf of the County during the Court of Honor ceremony at St. Paul’s Parish Center in Congers on August 9th. Chris’s Eagle Leadership Service Project involved the installation of nature and wildlife informational signs around the newly built walking path on Congers Lake.

Day presented Bailey with an Award of Excellence on behalf of the County during the Court of Honor ceremony at the Marian Shrine in Stony Point on August 10th. Bailey’s Eagle Leadership Service Project included the restoration of the playground yard at the Children of Mary Nursery School at the Marian Shrine.
