Nanuet Boys Soccer Fall to Spring Valley

They lost 5-1 at home

The Nanuet boys varsity soccer team took a tough 5-1 loss at home on Saturday morning at the hands of Spring Valley.

The Knights played a solid game in all areas, but excelled in none. A few defensive mistakes, that likely wouldn’t happen twice, cost the Knights a few early goals that left Nanuet behind 3-0 at the half.

Nanuet got on the board when Joe Dorrian scored early in the second half. Spring Valley’s ball movement was too much for the Knights to handle and they answered right back to make it a 4-1 game.

The Knights defense made one last mistake allowing a Spring Valley attacker to march into the box and blast a shot off of a short corner kick. Nanuet goalkeeper Ben Bohlke laid out but couldn’t get a mitt on it and the game ended 5-1.

“Our teams technical execution was lacking overall,” said Nanuet Head Coach Peter Patrikis. “They worked hard but we just had too many giveaways. When you give the ball up like that, you’re going to allow five goals.”
