Nanuet Election Day 2011: What You Need to Know

A look at the local Nov. 8 elections, voting locations and a way those in need of some extra help can make it to the polls Tuesday

The polls in the 2011 general election open at 6 a.m. Tuesday, closing 9 p.m. that night.

Election Day Transportation for Seniors, Disabled

The Rockland Independent Living Center is working with Brega Transport Corp of Valley Cottage to provide free transportation for seniors and/or people with disabilities who need assistance to vote on election day.

This new service will send a trained staff member from the Rockland Independent Living Center. Registration is required for this county-wide service. To take advantage of this service, contact Lorraine Greenwell at 845-624-1366 ext 112 by 1 p.m. Monday to register.
