Nanuet Invites Superintendent Candidates To Forums

You can meet any or all of the three semi-finalists.

NANUET, NY — The search for a new schools superintendent in Nanuet to replace retiring Mark S. McNeill has been narrowed down to three semifinalists. Community residents have a chance to meet all three of them next week.

They are:

Bills is the superintendent in the Honeoye school district near Rochester. Henning-Piedmonte has been superintendent of the Brewster schools since 2016. McCahill everyone in Nanuet knows, as he came to Nanuet in 2014 from Pearl River.

The Board of Education has set up these forums. A Rockland BOCES moderator will run the process including questions from the audience. Each will take place 6-7 p.m. in the middle school cafeteria. In addition, residents are encouraged to leave questions and comments on cards for the school trustees.

  • Feb. 27: Valerie Henning-Piedmonte
  • March 4: Kevin McCahill

The school board expects to pick a finalist in April.
