Nanuet Library Gets an Outdoor Makeover
Go check out the new brick paving walkway and benches
Curti's Landscaping started on a facelift for the last week by changing the front entrance walkway and the parking lot.
"Two of the grassy areas that were in the parking (lot) are being paved over and will become parking spots," said Gretchen Bell, library director.
The one that Curti's is working on now has a tree in that grassy area. Paving around the tree would yield one parking spot. Bell has asked them for an estimate for removing the tree, which would allow for two parking spaces.

"The tree is also in the electrical wires," She added. The library is also asking Curti's to estimate the cost of replacing the sidewalk where it's sinking below the curbline.
Also, another change is the walkway leading up to the front entrance. There were cracks in the concrete and where it meets with the curb, it was showing a lot of wear and tear with larger cracks and rubble.

However, that's now a thing of the past as new brick pavers have been laid down as well as two memorial benches put in place to replace the previous ones.
