State Police responded to a 1-car personal injury accident on I-87 at 7:55 p.m. May 1.
The driver of the vehicle, Darwin V. Alexandre of Nanuet, NY was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern for evaluation. He submitted to a blood draw to determine the drug content in his blood.
Alexandre, 22, was then taken to the Tarrytown barracks and charged with the following:

- Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs, Unclassified Misdemeanor
Alexandre was turned over to a sober third party and released on an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Ramapo Court on May 14.
