
A Nanuet man stopped for going through a red light on Route 59 in Nanuet has been charged with drunken driving, according to Clarkstown police.
Daniel Midouin, 26, was stopped at 1:30 a.m. Sunday as he was driving a 1995 Honda Civic when he reached New Clarkstown Road. Police said Midouin appeared intoxicated and then failed a field sobriety test.
He was taken to Clarkstown police headquarters in New City, where police said he failed a chemical breath test for alcohol and was charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor, and traffic violations.

He was later released pending a Clarkstown Town Court hearing on Aug. 1.
