Nanuet Man Faces 3 Felony Charges After Route 59 Stop

The Rockland Sheriff's Office said he was driving without headlights at 1:50 a.m.

SPRING VALLEY, NY — A Nanuet resident faces three felony charges after being stopped on Route 59 early Monday.

A patrol officer with the Rockland County Sheriff's Department saw a car with no headlights driving down Route 59 at 1:51 a.m.

The officer stopped the driver, and concluded he was intoxicated.

While Manuel Ochoa-Corado was being processed at department headquarters in New City, officers discovered he had a prior DWI conviction in June 2021 and that his drivers license had been revoked.

Ochoa-Corado was released on summonses to return to the village of Spring Valley justice court on charges of driving while intoxicated, DWI with a blood alcohol count higher than 0.18 percent and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
