Nanuet Man Gets 3½ Years in Prison for Mugging Woman

A 21-year-old Nanuet man has been sentenced to 3½ years in state prison for a 2010 robbery in Spring Valley.

, of at 109 Candlewood Suites, Nanuet, was also sentenced July by Rockland County Court Judge William K. Nelson to serve 3½ years post-release supervision as a result of Beaubrun's pleading guilty to second-degree robbery.

District Attorney Thomas P. Zugibe said that on Oc.t 10, 2010, Beaubrun
and another individual followed the victim on to Church Street in Spring Valley. Beaubrun approached the victim and punched her in the face, causing her to fall to the ground while the other individual acted as a lookout.

Beaubrun stole the woman's purse and ran. Spring Valley police later recovered the victim’s money and purse.
