The Nanuet School District approved the The Black & Gold Club to rejuvenate the press box. Founded in 1965, the club was organized by a group of interested parents and citizens of Nanuet with the express intent of rendering a substantial contribution to the school, the student athletes and the community, according to its website.
Rob Young—a Nanuet resident with kids in the district—is the owner of a Nanuet business, Priceless Painting and Power Washing. He stepped up and volunteered to do the painting of the press box when the Black & Gold Club reached out to the community for help.

However, the club has hit a few snags and are asking the community for assistance.
"The press box interior progress has been moving slowly since the summer has everyone away at different times," said Camille O'Connor of the Black & Gold Club. "As of now we are awaiting the go ahead on a new audio system in the press box that will make the announcing at games much more efficient."
She added that they are awaiting funds and materials before moving on to the installation of the wiring and the finishing of the walls.
