Nanuet Store Worker Accused in $800 Theft From Cash Register

An employee of the store in Nanuet is accused of stealing $800 from a store cash register, according to .

Cassandra Arias, 22, of Spring Valley was arrested 7 p.m. on Tuesday, police said, after the store manager reported an internal investigation found Arias had taken money from the cash register she had been working at since Nov. 6, 2011.

Arias was charged with petty larceny and criminal possession of stolen property and released pending a Jan. 18 hearing in Clarkstown Town Court in New City.
