Nanuet Voters Come Out For Change
Polling places report a steady stream of voters

"(The turnout) it's been ok, but it could be better," said Diana LaRubbio, Nanuet Library poll worker. "I think more people will come out when they get off of work."
Nanuet residents came out to vote in a nice steady stream, said Miriam Edelstein,a poll worker, unlike the primary election where there "was no one for a long time and then there was a flood of people."

"We have to show our children consistency. If we don't care then they won't care," said Nanuet Resident Valerie Maldow. "We're here for effective change. We need to see a lot of changes in government."
"(Voting) it's a privilege as an American citizen," said Sean Maldow. "There are too many empty promises. We want to throw he bums out."

"(We're voting) because we're county employees. I'm sure you heard what's going on with the county and the ," said Tony Petriccione. "We come out to vote all the time anyways ... but more so because of the county (issues)."
"I like to vote and make changes to my area," said Severima Desacada. "My kids go to Spring Valley schools but my address is Nanuet. I'd like my kids to go to Nanuet (school district) and I spoke to Aney (Paul) and she said she can help change that for me."
