New Health Department Program for Rockland Seniors: Are You Afraid of Falling?

As one of many of the services the Rockland County Department of Health offers to its residents, Matter of Balance fall-prevention program is designed especially for senior citizens and is starting this spring.

“You will learn to develop confidence, set realistic goals to increase activity, make changes to reduce the risks of falls at home, and exercise to increase strength and balance,” said Dr. Joan Facelle, Rockland County Commissioner of Health.

Advanced registration is required. If you are not able to take one of the classes below you can be placed on our mailing list.

Classes meet for eight, two-hour sessions and are as follows:

Time: Mondays & Wednesdays, 1 p.m. - 3 p.m.
