New Parking Spots Added To Main Street
The town board passed a resolution for additional spots
The Clarkstown Town Board passed a resolution at the March 5th meeting allowing the Superintendent of Highways to remove "No Parking" signs on the east side of Main Street at each end of 202 Main Street.
The space previously belonged to the Nanuet Community Ambulance Corps, who sold the building, and it’s now a mix of retail and office space.
The No Parking signs became outdated since the renovation of the property included the removal of the original garage bays and the drop curb apron for access and turning by the ambulances formerly housed there. Now there is no longer a need for the wide driveway approach.
According to the resolution “street parking in downtown Nanuet is at a premium and important to the town's overall revitalization program.”
