New Short Film By Local Filmmaker Kristian Comer

The third short film by independent filmmaker Kristian Comer of Rockland County New York. It follows widower Stanley Stevenson on his way to celebrate the anniversary of the day he met his deceased wife Clara. Each year he goes back to the same spot, a bench in Washington Square Park, and eats the same sandwich, hot roast beef, he had that day. When he reaches the bench he finds a woman crying and decides to cheer her up. Between hilarious banter of shared interests of food and love of New York they develop a strong bond. July 15th deals with the theme of true love and how it is effected by death. It is an silent film paying homage to love films that came before it and was completely shot locally in NYC.

J. David Brimmer is absolutely positively radiant with his performance of Stanley Stevenson. No words needed. His facial acting expresses it all. Kristian Comer does well by her performance and both take you on an whirlwind trip of emotions with an surprising ending that I did not see coming. I highly recommend July 15th. It's set to release on amazon this winter.
