<p>RAMAPO, NY — A Nyack pedestrian was critically injured Monday when he was hit by a car on New Hempstead Road, according to Ramapo police.</p> <p>The accident happened at 12:55 p.m. near the intersection of Route 45, in the Village of New Hempstead. The crash and the clean-up and investigation closed the street for several hours. </p> <p>Police said an 81-year-old Wesley Hills resident operating a 2007 Lexus struck the Nyack 57-year-old in the roadway.
