Originally from Nanuet, Steven Ercolino, 41, was the victim of Friday’s NYC shooting.
Jeffrey Johnson, 53—who was fired from his apparel-industry job a year ago—opened fire near the Empire State Building killing his Ercolino, his former manager.

Ercolino grew up in Nanuet on Wolf Place and went to Clarkstown South HS. His neighbors say he was a hard working man.
“The Ercolinos … lived right across the street in that house,” said Ingrid Prieditis, pointing to the light yellow house across the street from her.

“The victim of (Friday) morning's shooting at the ESB appears to have been a resident of Nanuet, NY at one time," said Wendy Mierbeth in a post on Nanuet Patch’s Facebook wall. "Sympathy to the family and friends of Steven Ercolino, the 41 year old V.P. who was gunned down today by a former co-worker."
