Drop off points in New City and Suffern on Saturday.

Rocklanders can drop off their unwanted or outdated prescription medications for safe disposal on Saturday in New City and Suffern as part of the ongoing "."
The program organized by the in conjunction with law enforcement agencies throughout the county allows residents to dispose of medications so they won't pollute the environment or get in the hands of those who might abuse or illegally re-sell the drugs.
No questions are asked in the program.

Police throughout Rockland say one of the biggest problems they face today is the illegal sale and abuse of prescription medications. In addition to organized groups bringing illicit drugs into the county, police say dealers and abuse often obtain medications by stealing them from the medicine cabinets of friends and family members.
