The Cat in the Hat made a special appearance at in Nanuet this past Saturday. He was there for the Nanuet Elementary PTA’s Book Fair Fundraiser. This annual fundraiser is a way to jump start reading at home early in the school year. PTA parents and elementary staff were there running activities such as the craft and learning games table. They also read books out loud during story time.
“You really need the parents and teachers to volunteer to make it work so I really appreciate all they’ve done today,” said Organizer Tarra Nicholson.
“It’s one of my favorite events of the year because it brings families together with the school to promote reading and literacy,” said Miller Principal Betsy Smith.
