October is a great month! The leaves are changing colors and the pumpkins are plentiful! The kids are excited about their Halloween costumes...don’t miss trick or treating at the Pearl River Farmers’ Market on Friday, October 31st. We are open till 2:00 pm. You’ll still have time to trick or treat in downtown Pearl River from 3-5pm - the Pearl River Chamber along with local businesses will again sponsor this great tradition! We are still accepting new or gently used Halloween costumes to be donated to People to People.

We are looking for crafters for October 24 “Crafter’s Day” sponsored by The River concurrent with the Market, no cost to vendors, all items must be handmade or handcrafted (no commercial products will be allowed). Stop by our Market table to register for the event or email us here. We had a great time on Saturday at the Pearl River Day festival on Central Avenue, met many people and handed out PRFM magnets. Stop by the Market table tomorrow to get one.

Our farms (Van Houten, The Orchards of Concklin and Rogowski Farm) bring great fall produce: squash, cauliflower, potatoes, apples, herbs; Meredith’s Bakery has delicious pies, cookies, biscotti; the PickleMan brings a variety of pickles, olives and speciality items, Penny Lick Ice Cream has just the right size push up pops as well as pints in seasonal flavors, Spice Revolution spice are unique and transform a meal, Rockland Roots truck offers great lunch menu and green smoothies. Our special guests are: Yogi’s Choice, all natural body products -hand crafted and La Talaye, international cuisine with a caribbean twist.
