Pedestrian Killed in Bardonia
The driver did stop. No tickets have been issued. The investigation is ongoing.
BARDONIA, NY — A Bardonia woman died on Route 304 Monday evening.
Clarkstown Police responded to the area of Rt. 304 at Village Green Complex in Bardonia at 6:20 p.m. for a report of a pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle in the northbound lane of Route 304.
The victim, Nancy Rico, 63, from Bardonia, NY was lying in the roadway.

She was transported by Nanuet Ambulance to Nyack Hospital for treatment. Rico succumbed to her injuries during the early morning hours, police said.
The driver of the vehicle, a male, 42, from Monsey, NY, did stop and remain at the scene.

The Clarkstown Police Accident Investigation Team responded to process the scene. Rt. 304 remained closed until 11:00 PM and is completely re-opened. At this point in the investigation the cause is still unknown and no tickets or arrests have been made.
