Police: 19-Year-Old Dragged Officer with Car
The incident also included a high-speed chase.

A Blauvelt resident is charged with second-degree assault, first-degree reckless endangerment, both felonies, and driving while intoxicated, resisting arrest, reckless driving and obstruction of governmental administration.
The Nyack Free Press reported that Liam Russell, 19, had reportedly been sitting in his car for a couple of hours at the intersection of Wilson Street and Truman Circle. While an officer was checking on him at around 7 a.m. Nov. 19, Russell put the car in gear and drove off—with the officer half in and half out of the car.
As Russell speeded away, the officer fell into the street, Nyack Free Press Editor Bill Demarest reported. Russell ended up on a Blauvelt Road lawn, where he struggled with officers and was tasered, according to nyackfreepress.com.
