UPDATE: Police Investigating Home Invasion in Nanuet

Police are looking for three men involved in an apparent home invasion robbery on Second Avenue.

Update as of Wednesday, Feb. 16

Clarkstown police are investigating an alleged home invasion robbery at 40 Second Ave. in Nanuet that occurred late Saturday night.

The case is still under investigation and the police have a few leads, but no imminent arrests as of Wednesday, Feb. 16, according to Sgt. Harry Baumann.

Around 10:30 p.m. Saturday, three men wearing masks broke into the home and two of the intruders seemed to be armed, one with a .380-caliber handgun.

During the struggle the intruders assaulted two residents before fleeing the building. One of the attackers jumped from the roof from the second story.

Detectives were on the scene and the investigation is ongoing, said Sgt. Glenn Cummings.

After speaking with police, the two injured residents spoke to police and then were taken to Good Samaritan Hospital. They suffered minor injuries and were treated and released.

The police said that the cause behind the break-in is unclear and no descriptions of the attackers have been released.
