Police: Nanuet Man Slashed In Confrontation With Man Urinating In Public

Thanksgiving night incident leads to trip to hospital for knife wounds.

A 54-year-old Nanuet man was slashed Thanksgiving night near his home in a confrontation with a man who was urinating in public, according to Clarkstown police.

A Forest Brook Road resident was taken to Nyack Hospital for treatment after the 7:45 p.m. incident.

Police said the victim was found on the ground near the intersection of Forest Brook and Springbrook roads in Nanuet. The man had suffered knife wounds on a hand and on his stomach.

The man told police he came accross a white van and a man who was urinating and confronted him about urinating in public. Police said the meeting apparently led to the victim being slashed by the man he confronted.

No arrest has been made in the incident.
