Police: Pearl River Woman Accused of DWI After Crash

A 51-year-old Pearl River woman is accused of drunken driving after she was involved in an auto accident, according to Orangetown police.

Police said Pamela J. Riley of 15 Cleveland St. was arrested 1:10 p.m. on Saturday after town officers investigated an accident in which a 1996 Ford Windstar struck a utility pole on Villa Road in Nanuet. Police said Riley was the driver of the minivan and was taken into custody after officers conducted field sobriety tests.

Riley was taken to Orangetown police headquarters in Orangeburg and was charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, and refusal to submit to a chemical breath test for alcohol, a violation. Riley was released pending an April 5 hearing in Orangetown Town Court in Orangeburg.
