Promotions For Three Nanuet Members of NY Army National Guard
Promotions recognize and and retain the highest caliber "citizen soldiers" for the National Guard, officials said.
NANUET, NY — Three Nanuet members of the New York Army National Guard have been promoted, Major General Ray Shields, the Adjutant General for the State of New York, announced recently.
The promotions recognized their capability for additional responsibility and leadership, National Guard officials said in the announcement.
- Davyon Gentles, assigned to the Company B, 2nd Battalion, 108th Infantry received a promotion to the rank of private on Sept. 11.
- Nicholas Odell, assigned to the Battery C, 1st Battalion, 258th Field Artillery received a promotion to the rank of private 1st class on Sept. 17.
- Saul Pinedavega, assigned to the Company D, 1st Battalion, 69th Infantry received a promotion to the rank of sergeant 1st class on Aug. 30.
Army National Guard promotions are based on overall performance, attitude, leadership ability, and development potential. These promotions recognize the best-qualified soldiers and attract and retain the highest caliber "citizen soldiers" for a career in the New York Army National Guard, officials said.
