RCC’s Memorial Garden includes a sculpture (Spirit Rising) by Eric David Laxman, made with steel pulled from the ashes of the site of the World Trade Center. The Garden also includes benches and a beautiful inscription of Masterson’s 9/11 poem, “Out of the Blue,” which he will read at the event. Young saplings nurtured from the famed 9/11 Survivor Tree are nearby.
