Residents at Northern Metropolitan in Monsey Receive a Special Visit at Memorial Day BBQ

At a highly festive Memorial Day BBQ, Retired U.S. Marine Corp. Petty Officer Jim Cava from Haledon, New Jersey, who served in Vietnam, visited the residents and staff at Northern Metropolitan on Maple Street in Monsey on Memorial Day. P.O. Cava told stories and spoke from the heart about how proud he's been to have served this country for so many years.

“To have Petty Officer Jim Cava visit our BBQ at Northern Metropolitan was a very special treat to both residents and staff here,” said Brenda Warsaw, Recreation Director of Northern Metropolitan. “This is a Memorial Day they will never forget.”

In addition to the visit by P.O. Cava, residents and staff were treated to a full BBQ.
