Reward Offered In Ramapo Bank Robbery

The man threatened to set off explosives, police said.

RAMAPO, NY — The Ramapo Police Department and the FBI Safe Streets Task Force are offering a $5,000 reward leading to the arrest of this man who is a suspect in the Jan. 24 bank robbery in Pomona.

At 4:40 p.m. that day, a man went into the Chase Bank branch on Route 202 and demanded money from the teller. The man threatened to set off a box that he claimed was filled with explosives, police said.

The man left the bank with a large number of $2 bills with sequential serial numbers. He drove off in a dark colored 2015-2018 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad-Cab pick-up truck.
