Ribbon-Cutting for Two New Nanuet Businesses
The Rockland Business Association welcomed its new members.

Carpet One and The Tile Shop share the same building at 300 Route 59 in Nanuet that was formerly an Ethan Allen showroom.
Both home improvement retailers are making a contribution to the revitalization of the shopping center, as well as giving Rocklanders a new place to fulfill their home improvement dreams, according to Rockland Business Association officials.
Carpet One, a member of the largest carpet cooperative in the U.S., offers Fabrica, Bigelow, Lees, Stainmaster, Kane and Stanton carpeting, as well as a large selection of wood flooring, laminate, luxury vinyl tile and linoleum. It is an exclusive dealer and custom installer of Rubbermaid Closets and also sells material to contractors and do-it-yourselfers. Its in-store inventory of area rugs and runners is the largest in the region, RBA officials said.

For CarpetOne owner Judy Kane, “It’s a wonderful location and enables us to really give the customers an opportunity to have a great shopping experience.”
The Tile Shop’s 15,000 square foot showroom is its first in Rockland County, RBA officials said.

Travertine, quartzite, onyx, sandstone, marble, ceramic and glass are among the over 4,000 choices of tiling offered in an array of patterns and designs, with fixtures and accessories to complete the look the client seeks.
The Tile Shop offers a Saturday morning do-it-yourself program each week at 9:30a.m. For both DIY’rs and tradesmen, it carries floor tile installation tools and setting materials, floats, substrates, tile cutting tools and more.
“It’s exciting to expand our presence into the Rockland community, and we look forward to introducing local homeowners, trade professionals and local interior designers to our product selection,” said Lynda Stout, Senior Vice President for Retail for the Tile Shop.
