Rockland Business Women’s Network Hosts Achievement Awards
This year RBWN will present the 2018 Women of Achievement Awards to three women who have contributed to the Rockland community.
From RBWN: The Rockland Business Women’s Network (RBWN) will host its annual Women of Achievement Breakfast on Tuesday, June 12th at 8:00 AM at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Suffern with the theme “Celebrating Our Strengths.”
This year RBWN will present the 2018 Women of Achievement Awards to Dr. Mary Leahy, CEO of Bon Secours Charity Health System/Good Samaritan Hospital and Jane Brown, Executive Director of Child Care Resources of Rockland in recognition of their outstanding professional accomplishments and their contributions to the Rockland County community. The group will also present the 2018 Service Woman of the Year award to Simone Hosang, COO of Caribbean Food Delights for her work on behalf of RBWN.
“RBWN has been supporting women in business in Rockland for nearly 40 years. Our theme this year, ‘Celebrating our Strengths,’ reflects not only the strength of our members in their respective businesses, but the collective strength we have at this time in our history,” stated Nancy Seeback, President of RBWN.

During the event, $1,000 scholarships will be presented to high school seniors Sara Ferraro of Clarkstown High School South and Sanjala Malla of North Rockland High School. Rose Fein of Rockland Community College will also receive a $1,000 Scholarship. This year all three scholarships have been underwritten by sponsors Jill Warner, Caribbean Food Delights and Alpine Growth Capital Advisors.

The cost for the event is $40 for members and $45 for nonmembers in advance and $60 for all at the door. Registration is available at www.rbwn.org. The mission of The Rockland Business Women’s Network (RBWN) is to provide women with opportunities for professional and business growth through leadership, education and networking. The vision of the organization, established in 1979, is to create a thriving and supportive women’s business organization whose members are inspired to work collaboratively, to grow professionally and to contribute to the economic vitality of the community.
The RBWN Scholarship Fund, established in 1997, has donated over $40,000 to support local students with college scholarships and training and professional development opportunities for members. The organization also provides scholarships to eligible members who have been accepted into the Leadership Rockland program.
