Rockland County ATV Crash Kills Rider

The ATV flipped over on a steep hill in Harriman State Park.

SUFFERN, NY — A 58-year-old died Sunday when the all terrain vehicle he was riding flipped over on a steep slope. He was found in Harriman State Park, according to news reports.

Their investigation revealed the operator of the ATV, Andrew Columbia of Suffern, NY was riding the ATV up a steep hill when the vehicle flipped and he was thrown off. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

New York State Police were assisted by Village of Suffern Police Department, Ramapo Police Department, Parks Police and the Tallman Fire Department.
