Route 59 Power Outage Caused by Delivery Truck

Clarkstown Police Department received a report of a tractor trailer striking overhead power lines at the rear of 150 Rt. 59 in Nanuet while making a delivery at about 12:30 PM Thursday.

The area has a temporary power outage, police said. There are no reported injuries.

Orange and Rockland is on scene and hope to have repairs made before 4 p.m. The traffic light at Rt. 59 and College Ave in Nanuet is out. Traffic delays are reported so police ask drivers to avoid the area. An update will be sent out as soon as it is available.
