Sex Acts With An 8-Year-Old
The post-prison supervision will last longer than the prison term.
SPRING VALLEY, NY — A Spring Valley man gets a long time under supervision after getting out of prison for raping an eight-year-old. Rockland County District Attorney Thomas P. Zugibe today announced that Eduardo Najera, 34, of 22 Ohio Ave., Spring Valley, New York was sentenced to 14 years in state prison and 20 years post-release supervision on his March 6 guilty plea to one count of Rape in the First Degree, a class "B" Felony.
“Today’s sentence is a measure of justice for the young victim in this case who endured a traumatic ordeal at the hands of the defendant," Zugibe said.
Over a three-month period between June 1, 2015 and Aug. 28, 2015, Najera engaged in two acts of
forcible sexual intercourse with the victim in his residence.
