The Shops at Nanuet To Host Power of Pink

Simon’s The Shops at Nanuet is kicking off Breast Cancer Awareness Month by teaming up with Nyack Hospital for a special event, Power of Pink on Saturday, October 1 from 12 to 3 p.m.

Power of Pink is a program aimed at bringing awareness to breast cancer, honoring its survivors and promoting wellness and healthy lifestyles. The following activities are scheduled at The Shops at Nanuet:

• Yoga with lululemon athletica at 12 p.m.
• Nyack Hospital Health Fair from 12 to 3 p.m. showcasing The Breast Center, Highland Medical, The Prenatal Center, The Sleep Center and Trauma and Emergency
• A Fashion Show featuring Breast Cancer Survivors at 1 p.m. modeling looks by Macy’s and Loft. Hair and makeup will be provided by JLK Salon and Sephora.
• Zumba with 24 Hour Fitness at 2 p.m.
• A free swag bag for the first 100 attendees

The event will be hosted by Patricia Stark, national news anchor for FOX and its US affiliates, who also serves as one of four panel judges on the new FOX 5 talent show New York Star of the Day. Stark is president of Patricia Stark Communications, a media and public speaking training firm.
