The Shops at Nanuet Receives Pride of Clarkstown Award

Shopping destination bests others in the region in Retail Category

The Shops at Nanuet, a premier shopping destination for fashion, discovery and community unlike any other in Rockland County, was recently awarded the prestigious Pride of Clarkstown Award in the Shopping Center/Retail Category.

The Shops at Nanuet Mall Manager Ryan Hidalgo (third from left) was on-hand to accept the award at a recent Town Board meeting. He was joined by Town of Clarkstown officials (left to right) Councilman Frank Borelli, Councilman George Hoehmann, Supervisor Alexander J. Gromack, Councilwoman Shirley Lasker and Councilwoman Stephanie Hausner.

“All of us at The Shops at Nanuet are honored to be chosen as a Pride of Clarkstown award recipient,” commented Hidalgo. “It truly is a team effort to provide, maintain and promote our beautiful open-air shopping center and we are thrilled to be recognized directly by the community for our hard work via this prestigious award.”

The program was created by the Town of Clarkstown Board in 2006 to recognize outstanding commercial properties that make significant investments to upgrade the look of their business, resulting in positive beautification to the community and promoting revitalization. The committee of volunteers accepts nominations, separates them by various categories and selects the winners, after careful consideration.
