Snow Predicted After Roller Coaster: Nanuet's Work Week Weather

NANUET, NY — Welcome to another roller-coaster week, this one with a possibility of snow at the end. We'll zoom up the thermometer on Tuesday, close to 10 degrees above normal. Then we plummet.

We'll see some rainfall Tuesday-Wednesday (which we can use).

By Friday, a low-pressure system should be coming up the East Coast, and it could bring snow.

Here's what the National Weather Service says for the work week in Rockland County:

• This Afternoon-Mostly sunny. Patchy fog. Highs in the mid 40s. Southeast winds around 5 mph.
• Tonight-Mostly cloudy. A slight chance of showers after midnight. Near steady temperature in the lower 40s. Southeast winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.
• Tuesday-Cloudy. A chance of showers in the morning, then showers in the afternoon. Highs in the mid 50s. South winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 80 percent.
• Tuesday Night-Showers. Lows in the lower 40s. Southwest winds 5 to 10 mph. Gusts up to 20 mph in the evening. Chance of rain 90 percent.
• Wednesday-Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers in the morning, then mostly sunny in the afternoon. Highs in the upper 40s. West winds 5 to 10 mph with gusts up to 20 mph. Chance of rain 50 percent.
• Wednesday Night-Mostly clear. Lows in the upper 20s.
• Thursday-Sunny. Highs in the lower 40s.
• Thursday Night-Mostly clear in the evening, then becoming partly cloudy. Lows in the mid 20s.
