Sparaco Sentenced, to Begin Jail Weekends
The Valley Cottage resident had pleaded guilty in February.

Former Rockland County Legislator Frank Sparaco was sentenced yesterday in Clarkstown Town Court.
He had pleaded guilty in February in a plea deal with prosecutors.
He resigned from office on Wednesday; will serve the next eight weekends in the Rockland County Jail; and will spend the next 3 years on probation.

“He’s looking forward to moving forward with his life, working for his fmaily and his kids and to again be respected by the community,” his lawyer Kevin Conway told the media after the sentencing.
Fios1News said there had been some debate about whether he actually broke the law, which caused a delay in the sentencing.
