Spring Temps, Storms Possible: Easter, Passover Weekend Weather for Nanuet

NANUET, NY — The forecast looks terrific for the long holiday weekend in the Hudson Valley. The heat isn't supposed to break records as it did Monday and Tuesday although heat will return late in the weekend. First, we'll have spring weather on Thursday and spring weather on Friday.

"The weekend looks pretty good as well, with a few spotty showers possible Saturday afternoon, which will make way for a strong warm up for Easter Sunday, where temperatures could crack 80° once again," said Bill Potter of Hudson Valley Weather on Facebook. "Some nice spring weather coming up over the next few days. We hope you can get out and enjoy it!"

If you're traveling, know that showers and thunderstorms are predicted from the central Plains into portions of the Midwest and Great Lakes and, by Sunday, they'll be headed into the Northeast. Plus, heat! Temps up to 30 degrees above average in the Great Lakes region are expected on Saturday, according to the Weather Channel.

Partly sunny. Highs in the lower 60s. Northwest winds 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph decreasing to 5 to 10 mph this afternoon.

Mostly cloudy in the evening...then clearing. Lows in the upper 30s. Northwest winds 5 to 10 mph.

Friday
Sunny. Highs in the lower 60s. Northwest winds around 5 mph.

Mostly clear. Lows in the lower 40s. Southeast winds around 5 mph in the evening...becoming light and variable.

Saturday
Mostly sunny in the morning...then mostly cloudy with a slight chance of showers in the afternoon. Highs in the mid 60s. South winds around 5 mph...increasing to around 10 mph in the afternoon. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Mostly cloudy with a 40 percent chance of showers. Lows in the lower 50s.
