Texas Man Drives Down Rockland County Street Firing Gun: Police

Witnesses provided police with a description of the man and the car he was driving.

NANUET, NY — People in Nanuet began calling Clarkstown police at 7:30 p.m. Saturday about a man shooting a gun.

Officers went to 135 Convent Road, where witnesses were able to give both a description of the man who had been firing the handgun and the car he was driving.

Police found a car matching that description near St. Agatha Convent Park. They found two handguns in the car. The sole occupant, a 34-year-old Texas resident, had no legal right to possess the guns, police said.
