Thruway Authority to Continue with Tappan Zee Bridge Deck Replacement Project Dec. 24 - 28
No nighttime work is scheduled during the holiday week. There will be no bridge work on Christmas.

Editor's Note: The New York State Thruway Authority provided the following information:
Additional work on the Tappan Zee Bridge deck replacement project will continue Dec. 24 through 28, the New York State Thruway Authority announced today. However, there will not be any nighttime work on the bridge during this period.
In case of inclement weather, the work may be postponed. Updates will be issued to announce any change in schedule.

Monday, December 24
No nighttime lane closures scheduled.

During the day time hours, the contractor will be working underneath the bridge but this will not require lane closures.
Tuesday, December 25
No work scheduled.
Wednesday, December 26 through Friday, December 28
No nighttime lane closures scheduled.
During the day time hours, the contractor will be working underneath the bridge but this will not require lane closures.
Saturday, December 29 and Sunday, December 30
No work scheduled.
For the safety of the public and construction workers, motorists are urged to proceed with caution and obey posted work-zone speed limits.
The deck replacement is complete, but additional work on the project will continue in the coming months.
Traffic updates will be broadcast to motorists via Variable Message Signs along the highway and by Highway Advisory Radio 530 AM in the Tappan Zee Bridge corridor, as well as 1610 AM in the Newburgh area.
