Tonight: Nanuet School Board to Discuss Budgets, Retirement Plan

The Nanuet School Board has a full agenda tonight starting with the approval of the proposed Budget Newsletter. This newsletter will be mailed home to taxpayers, which lays out the budget that they will be voting on come May 15. 

Voter registration will take place in the  on May 9 from 1-7 p.m. Voting on the  and  as well as the candidates running for  and  boards is on May 15 from 7 a.m. - 9 p.m. at the Nanuet High School gym.

The library will also present its proposed budget for approval to the board Tuesday night as well.

The board will also look at its retirement plan and amending it to conform to the requirements of the Heroes Earnings Assistance and Relief Act of 2009 (“HEART”) and the Worker, Retiree and Employer Recovery Act of 2008 (“WRERA”).

The meeting will also have an update of students' engagement in STEM-related curriculum activities, new policy readings on concussion management and textbooks.
