WATCH: Help Cops Find Hit-and-Run Driver

The Clarkstown Police Department is investigating a hit and run accident that occurred on Second Avenue in Nanuet.

The victim sustained serious injuries and was transported to the hospital for medical attention. The driver fled the scene without stopping.

Here’s the vehicle:

On June 9, at about 5:30 PM, workers were repairing a natural gas cap in the roadway. The driver of the suspect vehicle disregarded a flagman, who was standing on the corner of Second Avenue and Clinton Avenue, striking a worker who was bent down in the road making the repairs. The victim is Arthur Babcock, 49, of Washingtonville, NY. He suffered many broken bones and lacerations about his entire body.

The suspect vehicle is described as a gold Chevy Trailblazer or similar GMC type vehicle with a large black spot on rear driver’s side door and a possible push bumper type grill on the front bumper. The vehicle was driven by a Hispanic male, no further description is available. The vehicle was last seen travelling west on Clinton Avenue. A Witness reported that the vehicle did not have NY plates but that they were blue and white in color, possibly Pennsylvania plates.
