Woman Accused Of Drunken Driving In Nanuet

Police: Car spotted moving erratically on Route 59.

A Stony Point woman is accused of drunken driving after her car was spotted moving erratically on Route 59 at Smith Street in Nanuet, according to the Rockland County Sheriff's Department.

Marlyn Lovett, 43, of Stony Point, was stopped at 3:49 a.m. Tuesday by a Sheriff's officer, who then found Lovett to be intoxicated. Lovett was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, and refused to take a chemical breath test for alcohol, according to the Sheriff's Department.

Lovett was taken to the Sheriff's Headquarters in New City and later released pending a Nov. 1 hearing in Clarkstown Town Court in New City.
