SPRING VALLEY, NY — A woman who had an altercation with Spring Valley police early Saturday died Sunday night at Good Samaritan Hospital. Rockland County District Attorney Thomas Walsh issued a statement Monday afternoon saying his office has been working with the police department through the weekend.
"A female individual came into contact with Spring Valley Police Officers and after an altercation with the officers, the female had a medical episode requiring her to be transported to Good Samaritan Hospital for treatment," Walsh said. "Sadly, she passed away last night."
Walsh said that several agencies are involved in the extensive investigation. Also, notifications were made to the NYS Attorney General’s Office.
