11th Benefit Art Show Supports Alzheimer’s Association

Galleria on Third features Bangladeshi artist Bipasha Hayat in benefit art exhibition

Galleria on Third announces its 11th Benefit Art Show in support of the Alzheimer’s Association, New York City Chapter. The show, titled Monologues, features work by Bipasha Hayat and is on view through December 12, 2021.

Bipasha Hayat is a contemporary Bangladeshi artist whose work encompasses drawing, painting, and installation. Her artwork draws from her upbringing in Libya and memories of the surrounding remnants of Ancient Roman civilization. Hayat often uses a monochromatic palette to visualize her memories as fragments, written texts, and mundane objects. She has exhibited in galleries and museums around the world, including at Bengal Gallery Dhaka, Dhaka Art Summit 2016, 3B Gallery Rome, Gallery LVS Seoul and Transform Gallery New York. She received an honorable mention in the 17th Asian Art Biennale in 2016. Hayat is also a playwright and actor.

Bipasha Hayat says, "At its essence, my work is the reflection of memories, past, and present, resonating in one constant continuum. I am honored to be featured in Galleria on Third's Benefit Art Show and to support the work of the Alzheimer's Association."

Located in Murray Hill, Galleria on Third began hosting benefit art shows more than 10 years ago as part of its owner Shadin Hossain’s commitment to philanthropy. Previous exhibitions have supported charities including World Vision, Smile Train, Bellevue Hospital, and the Clean Water Initiative. This year, sales from the show benefit the Alzheimer’s Association, New York City Chapter and its efforts in Alzheimer’s care, support and research.

Mitch Hymowitz, constituent events manager at the Alzheimer’s Association, says “We are grateful to Shadin Hossain and Galleria on Third for choosing the Alzheimer’s Association as its charity this year. It means so much to have the support of the artistic community in New York.”
