120 Young Philanthropists Support Israel at Manhattan Soirée

More than 120 young philanthropists in the tri-state area who share a passion for the land and people of Israel attended Jewish National Fund-USA’s (JNF-USA) JNFuture Spring Cocktail Party at the Ronald S. Lauder JNF House on the Upper East Side on Wednesday, March 9, 2022.

The young professionals between the ages of 22-40, who share a deep bond with the Jewish homeland and a passion for tzedakah (charity), enjoyed an open cocktail bar, delicious food, and networking while learning about JNF-USA's impactful work in Israel that is improving the quality of life for residents in Israel’s Negev and Galilee regions and helping secure a vibrant future for Jewish people everywhere. The event was chaired by Allison Fine, Alison Ederer, and Eric Schwartz.

“We had an amazing turnout with lots of new and familiar faces,” said Event Chair Allison Fine. “The JNFuture community is growing fast, and we are so excited for what’s to come!”

Attendees also took a moment to acknowledge the atrocities taking place during the war in Ukraine and were briefed on how Jewish National Fund-USA’s affiliates in Israel, including MAKOM, Nefesh B’Nefesh, Green Horizons, and the Lauder Employment Center, are providing humanitarian assistance, helping refugees find safety, and setting them up for a successful future.

The organization’s affiliates are providing support, including sending busses to evacuate refugees, providing care packages and hygiene products to mothers with small children, raising money to support families for six months upon arrival in Israel, and providing job counseling and job placement services to help adults find work. JNF-USA is also planning to support these refugees in the long term after the Ukraine crisis no longer makes the front pages of our newspapers, ensuring that they have a home and a community where they can prosper.

JNFuture will be hosting its second signature event of the year, Shabbat in the Park, on Friday, June 10, at the Central Park Zoo. The event’s theme is “Glow in the Park,” and will feature a VIP Reception and Sea Lion show prior to the dinner.
