2 Dead, 1 Critically Injured In Apparent Murder-Suicide Inside NYC Apartment
Officers responded to the scene after receiving a 911 call of multiple people shot at the location.
NEW YORK CITY — Two people were killed, and a third person is in critical condition after an apparent murder-suicide inside a New York City apartment on Thursday, police said.
The incident happened inside a first-floor apartment at 2500 Johnson Ave. in the Bronx around 8 a.m.
Officers responded to the scene after receiving a 911 call of multiple people shot at the location. Inside the apartment, police found a 55-year-old man and a 59-year-old woman dead.

An 86-year-old woman was rushed to Harlem Hospital in critical condition after being shot in the face.
It is believed that the 55-year-old man was the shooter and took his own life after killing the 59-year-old and shooting the other woman, according to police.

A firearm was recovered at the scene. The shooter has since been identified as a retired Port Authority Police Department officer, according to multiple media reports.
Police are investigating what led up to the shooting. An investigation remains ongoing.
